The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Worldly life is distant from Divine Mercy, and distanced is all that is in it, except for the remembrance of Allah and what relates to it; and scholars and students." [Tirmidhi, No. 2256] "Worldly life" refers to "all that busies you away from Allah." The hadith uses the term "mal`un" (lit: "accursed), which is defined as being "distanced from Divine Mercy.
